Lash: Requires a wielded whip. Notoriously inaccurate, but it gives any opponent a two-round lag if it works. Two-round lag for the user as well. If you use lash too often, The Arcane will make fun of you.

Trip: Can be done regardless of what is in your hands, or bare-handed for that matter. Medium reliability, well ahead of lash. Seems to have a lot to do with dex. Can be used unless your opponent is flying. Two round lag for the user if it hits, one round if it misses. Rumored to be Arcane-approved.

And while I'm trying to remember what they all do.....

Bash: Most reliable of the basic lagging attacks under the right circumstances. Seems to have a lot to do with size and strength. Blocked by various class-specific spells, including protective shield, advanced invoker shields, control translucence, wraithform (starting at level 36), and the like. When it works, it lags both the user and the target for two rounds. If it misses, only the user gets lagged, but it's for three rounds, and you seem to take extra damage until you are back on your feet. Can be used safely without fear of The Arcane taunting you. "Bash" is the favorite word of most Ragers, and seems to be curiously immune to the usual Scottish-ization or Caveman grammar employed by them. Example of use: "Dey kilt mudder un fadder. Me bash!"

There are a bunch of related techniques (legsweep, bearcharge, throw, etc.), left as an exercise to the reader. Hint: people use them a lot, and the Log Board has over 100 pages of logs on it.
