> Bash: Most reliable of the basic lagging attacks under the right circumstances. Seems to have a lot to do with size and strength. Blocked by various class-specific spells, including protective shield, advanced invoker shields, control translucence, wraithform (starting at level 36), and the like. When it works, it lags both the user and the target for two rounds. If it misses, only the user gets lagged, but it's for three rounds, and you seem to take extra damage until you are back on your feet. Can be used safely without fear of The Arcane taunting you. "Bash" is the favorite word of most Ragers, and seems to be curiously immune to the usual Scottish-ization or Caveman grammar employed by them. Example of use: "Dey kilt mudder un fadder. Me bash!"

Bash always lags you for two rounds. But, it lags your opponent for 1 to 3 rounds, depending on the factors you mentioned and random chance. The length of time appears to be correlated to the amount of damage you inflict with the bash.

Additionally, unless trip has changed since I last used it (which is possible) it lags you for two rounds regardless of whether it lands, and lags your victim for 2 rounds if it lands.

Also, keep in mind that when you decide to initiate combat with a bash, no combat will ensue if your opponent is protected from bashing. Many victims get away that way.

Lash vs. Trip. Everything he said, but also that you can lash flying foes, but you can not trip them. Thus, theoretically, anyone in the game can be lashed. Although, if you do a famed forum search on Zorszaul, you'll find a log where he literally was being lashed by six (seven?) people, and not a single one landed. This is interesting only because of a post that Spheremaker made re: levitation (another forum search) that seems to suggest Liches' levitation makes them immune to lashing in a way that flying does not. Was Zorszaul just plain lucky? Does lash not affect wraithformed liches? Is lash so terrible that six people lashing can not land a single one? No one knows but the lich, and the lich ain't talking.
