I was hopeing that they would improve with time, and assumed it to be so. But as you spoke, there arent many 2-handed weapons that are cursed, well that a paladin can use. And one would hope that a hero paladin wouldnt be forced to use weapons that are sub ave 25. Yes i've looked deeper into how many 2handed swords and maces are out there.
There are more than I first said, but they are far from plentiful and far from high quality. In a way I was hopeing that the Immortals had considered this, and might have added some new, or altered some old weapons makeing them 2-handed to compensate for the large need of dedicated paladins.
