Nothing pisses me off more than a skill/spell/cabal power that seems to be wholistically anti-roleplay. If there is ONE ability in the entire game that is anti-roleplay it's gibberish, especially when it's done to somebody that isn't in your range.

You try roleplaying in a roleplaying environment and some asshole 20 or so ranks above you comes up and gibberishes you for no other reason than that you were speaking your mind.

Can we see the duration of gibberish on out-of-range characters taken down to 1 tick? I mean, faerie fog doesn't last as long on people not in your range and probably for good reason. There's no reason for an anti-roleplay tool such as gibberish to last 8 ticks or whatever on out-of-range characters.

Calling a cabal power an "anti-roleplay tool" is a very bad way to get immortals to listen to your suggestion. I think it's a good suggestion, too, so it's a shame. n/t Macheath 13:13:27 7/4/2000 (7)
