As you can probably guess, height of CF (measured in anything
you want) is proportional to the percent of time it is up.
So that's what I suggest to increase the percent of time it is up.

When CF is gonna be unstable (after the next huge
change) you can backup the last "safe" build of
binaries, and when new build goes down and you
investigate the case, run the previous build (without
the change), just connect them to the same pfiles.

After you have fixed the problem (or at least think you
have fixed it), just reboot with new build, etc., until
new build reaches stability.

This should not be very difficult technically.
As far as I know, several other muds, including
Arctic (do not think I play Arctic, though) use this
system.
