I think what you're doing here with your examples is fleshing out your characters, which is great. However, I don't think it means we need a minor sphere choice. Everyone in the sphere order (even everyone in sphere order that say, follows Nepenthe) shouldn't roleplay the same. It would be boring for you and for Nep (and trust me, you don't want a bored gnome on your hands). Other influences in your life are great and should help define your character and be discussed in your role. What happens if you have two minor influences? What if you're all about combat as a rager but are in love with some person from the past that tried to make you show mercy...are you major: combat, minor1: love, minor2: mercy? You see how this could become silly.
