> Brr, it's very inconvenient to quote your long lines, so I'll just write from scratch. > Shokai, for you it doen't matter what the original post was That's because most things that I'm responding to deal with those issues. This one about SMUG for example...if you come down to the core of why everyone and thier goat knows who SMUG are...it's because they are (or at least were in the past) the nearly a synonym for cheating. Yes I do tend to post the same basic things over and over again...mainly because everybody else always posts the same tired crap about immortals cheating, immortals doing things for thier own agenda...or being amazingly sympathetic to people who repeatedly break rules and get snagged for it. No, I don't see enemies...you highly over estimate the importance CF plays in my life. I talked to Proud Blade about this awhile ago about why I post some of the things I post...I try to believe that people are only idiots because they are misinformed...and when I have information that could help them cease to be misinformed, I feel I would be remiss if I did not share that information. Good, since I don't even know you...I'd hate to have an enemy I've never even spoken to. > We are speaking about different things. That's what I'll agree with you, mindless flaming does no good at all...yet neither does this rather nasueating pampering that people tend to do when people are 'wronged' by the immstaff. Personally it kinda makes me more than a little weary when I read (sorry Arolin, but you're a wonderful example for this type of thing) Arolin's latest 'the immortals screwed me over' post, when in the game he does everything possible to not comply with the rules...whoops, there I go again talking about rules....damn me, and after reading this post seeing people who basically post 'yeah...the imms are power tripping' and really mean it. For the love of god people...what type of people do you think we are? In some Yes, I do agree with it. Hence the reason I get tired of being bashed constantly as an immortal...and seeing the judgements of the immstaff scrutinized for any tiny flaw that may have been made, and people who break the rules being tauted as martyrs. (I highly over exaggerate, I know...but I'm trying to prove a point.) > As for their opinions being close to truth... Well, all of I've never accused them of being bad people. I'm sure they're fine people...who just see no reason to follow the rules of a game...while there may be some minor question of morality there, I won't be the one to claim moral high ground over something as truely silly as a text based game. > What now? I'll tell you what now... Yagar and Shannagen were deleted > People who are allowed to do that without punishment are, of course, This is what I'm talking about. SMUG can deny cheating left and right and someone will believe them...even when the facts point to them cheating. The immstaff can deny cheating left and right and someone will inevitably decide that we are cheating...even when the facts point against it. I've said this as many times as I possibly ever thought I would have to...half of what most people assume goes on in Asgaard...doesn't...there are players who know more about the mechanics, who plays who, and what immortal was what mortal than I do...if you have cold hard facts, post them. If not...shut the hell up with the accusations of some grand immortal information sharing. > Now tell me: in the case of Nepenthe and Istendil, wasn't there From my side of the coin I can honestly say there wasn't...Nep and I work pretty closely on a lot of things the two of us do as immortals...and even though at the time I was a mortal who was the polar opposite of Istendil...and fought him at least once that I recall, it wasn't until much later that I knew Nep played Istendil. > I'm sure it is not needed to go anywhere when you can just *roll* This is the mindless accusations that I find disgusting...and what I warn any heroimm about. the game suddenly changes to where you have to not know a lot of things you know...for example I know Araile and Sands of Sorrow like the back of my hand...I know the backgrounds, the plots and the history of everyone in it...yet if my character hasn't been there, he won't even know that the sand is predominately red...it's as Nep put it below, "..than someone trying to pretend they've never been through Ofcol before" I'm sure I misquoted...but well, these things happen. > Of course, Istendil was cool and bla bla bla, but the rule Only when you assume he cheated...glad to know you have this much faith in the people behind the players of immortal characters, might as well stand up and call us blatant hypocrites and lousy cheaters. I appriciate that, really, really I do. > I'm not sure whether agentXXX was right about Sebeok and What's your point? > Another exmple of pure pk imm char was Yaethle, I think. I have no idea who that was...so if an immortal played it, you're one up on me...guess the conspiracy circle isn't sharing information with me anymore...damn them! > This was already discussed not once, so I'll repeat it briefly. Yep...which is why the list of immortal commandments is twice as long as the mortal rules, and is just understood that all of the 'mortal' rules are to be followed without question. > You may think, that, as immortals keep the mud running, they I don't either, nor does anyone on the imm staff...again, if you have anything more than baseless assumptions...please, post them. > Do they spend more time on it than mortal players? see Nep's post below for reply. > Do they do their job better than some other people could, > Do they love mud more than other people playing it? again see Nep's response below. > So tell me Shokai, what do you do when you see higher imm What *would* I do? I'd probably question what the hell they were doing...if I didn't feel comfortable with that, I'd write a note to one or a few of the implementors saying what I saw...and let them deal with it. > I'll tell you. You keep silence. And Arolin is the target He's a target because he painted it himself, time and time again. He's earned the target sign...don't try to put it off on the immortals being hardasses. > "But I digress again..."
> Also, excuse my English, I can't be as expressive as you are(though I'd like to).)
