I've never played a necro or a druid high enough to find out, but I was wondering if you can use the druidic animals while ranking w/o hindering your exp gain.

Back in the day when I played my last druid they didn't have call of the wild and they were pretty much always a third-wheel as far as ranking went, kinda like necros or non-giant shamans.

Are they viable group partners, or are you better of spending the extra time to find a different class?
