When this character was young, I got hammered for doing stuff that paladins shouldn't be doing. Like, real bad stuff. Unempowered, turned neutral, and all that jazz. And well golly, no matter how hard I roleplayed, I wasn't going to get my stuff back at that instant. But do you know what happened? I roleplayed it out, the flaws, the problems, and such and I had a wonderful time doing it. It took a good long while to prove that I now understood the code. I don't know if you are beyond help now, but to all aspiring Paladins, the class is STRICT, you cannot do a LOT of things, but the strictness does not disallow versatility. I also highly believe that the strictness is what makes a Paladin fun, and challenging to play. As I said in a former post, do NOT play this class if you are unwilling to roleplay more than most other classes require, and you simply can't break the code so blatantly without having a set reason added in your role. If you do, it doesn't mean the character is over or denied, it means you are going to have to work (which is not neccesarily bad) to get your powers back. I hope this helps someone NeoPaladin
