First of all, To everyone who has read at some point my post, and this is for bishop as well, the paladin code is applied to all paladins, but it is applied differenty depending on your faith and your god. Yes i might have made a judgemental error, pushed a little to hard in one area of the code, But i think what i did was well within the confines of Roleplaying. I've not deleted the character, and I've started to rp my way out of the problem at hand. *touches wood*, yes if i can pull this off it will be kickarse rping - not to mention a hell of alot of fun. A skill or auto-toggle option. To turn on and off exp at the players desgression. Just a idea, It would be simple to impliment. Bishop I know how you feel about getting messed about. And if i ever become a immortal here on cf, I will always try and rp with a player before messing them about, point out where they have made their mistake. you can have 1000 players and kicked them for a rule that isnt mentioned in the rules somewhere, Will they ever learn from the mistake ? No. To learn from your mistakes so that you can rp better, play better, you need to know where your going wrong. Imms will have to treat players a bit like dogs and cats. Catch them in the act of doing something wrong and punish them on the spot, Rub their face in the mistake that they made. If a puppy craps in your washing room at night time, There is little good punishing it 10 hours later the next morning when it wont realise what it did wrong. If a immortal kicks a player from a cabal they should have a small list as to why, that small list should be posted to the player. OOC or IC, it shouldnt matter. Hitting the 'Eject from empire' Button doesnt help the players learn. If the imms did this then i know for a fact all the whinning and bitching would eventually come to a end. I can imagine as a hypo example, any ranger getting kicked from battle for saying the word magic. anyway this is turning into a huge speal.. Ill stop now hehe.
Nifty Idea:
Immortals would have overide of course for level sitters etc.
I'm suggesting the ability cause i've needed
it twice now with my character. And avoid trying to gain xp any way possible, but I seem to creep closer and closer to level eventually leveling.
Now Bt had asked me to wait at level 25, and now 45, But Even tho i stoped xping (in groups of 3 etc) I still get xp for tiny shit like cash running, killing for equipment - breathed equipment , weapons after disarms and fumbles.
Tho would have to be applied with caution.
There seems to be hundreds of people that say the imms fucked me over for no reason (even tho there might be a reason) simple cause the immortal didnt help the player enough.
It is here in the explinations as to why people get kicked from cabals, lose powers etc that the immortals need to preform for players benfit.
The immortals need to realise that some people are new players to cf, not everyone lives on Mirc. I only started useing mirc 2 years ago, tho have been mudding on cf since purge.
Or as I've always said, the Immortal could do something novel like posses a Imperial mob and RP with the player, find out why he was doing something etc. See if his reasons are valid, if they fit in the Imperial theme.
If for some reason the imms decided to enforce the unnamed rule, soon enough all the ragers would have been kicked and none would understand why. Tho if a immortal told the first , dont say the word magic - it's a sin. Then sure as fuck the others would snap into line. Yes the poor bastard who first said it id say got sold out, and should have been given a chance, but at least the players would learn.
