Question about Necros and Lichs...:

I haven't played a necro since the second age so here are my questions:

1) I played Zraqkhyss and was in Masters. I doubt anyone remembers him but if you did let me know ;}

2) Why do necros always stop leveling at 47 (Spetre) now?

3) Do necros not gettin any more skills/spells/powers after rank 47?

4) Is there anything significant about rank 47 other than you can Become?

5) Once you become a Lich can you con-die?

6) If you can, what's the big deal about becoming a Lich other than not having to eat or drink or sleep?

7) If you can't, how did Viscrinth and Onox die?

8) If you don't have to sleep as a Lich how does this affect your mana regen? CAN you sleep if you want to in order to regen mana faster?

9) Can you only make phylacteries as a Lich?

10) Do phylacteries last forever or are they like wands and staves and expire after so many uses?

11) Has anyone ever tried to Become and fouled up the elixir? Did you live? Were your stats so screwed that you couldn't be effective anymore? Any insight helpful here.

12) If you do get skills/spells after 47 why not rank to hero and then maybe Become later?
Isn't ritual of Abomination one?
