I doubt anyone remembers him but if you did let me know ;} I have vague recollection. > 2) Why do necros always stop leveling at 47 (Spetre) now? Because they have no choice. > 3) Do necros not gettin any more skills/spells/powers after rank 47? They get a few more goodies. But see (2). > 4) Is there anything significant about rank 47 other than you can Become? Other than that you get stuck there as a mortal necromancer, no. > 5) Once you become a Lich can you con-die? Yes. You lose a full con with every death. > 6) If you can, what's the big deal about becoming a Lich other than not having to eat or drink or sleep? The lich race has more disadvantages than any other race. It also has more advantages than any other race. > 7) If you can't, how did Viscrinth and Onox die? See (5); Both ran out of con. > 8) If you don't have to sleep as a Lich how does this affect your mana regen? CAN you sleep if you want to in order to regen mana faster? No, liches cannot sleep even if they want to. On the whole this is a much bigger advantage than disadvantage, but it is both. > 9) Can you only make phylacteries as a Lich? Yes. > 10) Do phylacteries last forever or are they like wands and staves and expire after so many uses? They expire after a number of uses. In some cases this number is one. > 11) Has anyone ever tried to Become and fouled up the elixir? Did you live? Were your stats so screwed that you couldn't be effective anymore? Any insight helpful here. So far all failed lichbies have died. There are other possibilities (and always have been) but by pure random chance they haven't come up yet. > 12) If you do get skills/spells after 47 why not rank to hero and then maybe Become later? Because you don't have a choice. > Thanks in advance
(As duergar is to human, lich is to duergar, you could say.)
This is really to their advantage; my experience was that hardly anyone capitalized on your many shortcomings and just kept trying to (metaphorically) kick dirt in the eyes you don't have.
As per (3), there are extra goodies like the Ritual of Abominations.
> Isn't ritual of Abomination one?
You're welcome.
