I guess that depends on what kind of character you play. My current druid usually hovers around -65 save vs spell (just about all of it is fairly common or non-lim items), and without it, I'd go down the first time somebody felt like burning 5 mana on a blindness spell. With my current saves, I can feel pretty confident when going toe-to-toe with a necro of similar rank.
As long as you don't have a really high damroll, your -saves do help (High damrolls kill your saves). So you definitely need to decide which is more important. -Saves and +hp have always been my first priority.
