I read somewhere below that perhaps Narlok is playing the role of a closeminded abbot... Hmm, if that is indeed the role he is trying to impress upon others, very well. *BUT* I would think that in a time where the Ragers appear to outnumber the Tower mages severely, a more open minded approach would be the appropriate venue for a Leader of the Tower. Tightfisted, vengeful, unbending, and ruthless to the other members of the Tower sounds very much like an Emperor not a Master.

And as for the conversation between Narlok and Hruptek, I see Hruptek being open minded. He admits that perhaps he could have been wrong. Narlok's unwillingness to converse on the subject or explain his thinking led Hruptek to the conclusion that he was not only not wrong but that the Leader's unwillingness to look at this discussion from his point of view or to discuss the point further was not becoming a mage or a Leader of the Tower.

While I understand the need for a new Leader to make his policies known, to enforce rules that might be different from the previous leader, why in the world would you get rid of someone who seems to be helping in the fight against enemies of the Tower. A reprimand would have sufficed, I would think.

Eh, I never would have thought I could say so much about something I cared so little about.
