In just seeing what is said between two characters, something you can almost take as just the facts, I admit that I have been somewhat hasty in my judgement of Narlok in that I do not know the back story between the two Masters. While I can say that I cannot form an opinion without knowing Hruptek's past, what I do see is a Leader who is unwilling to admit the possibility that his ideals could be wrong. Narlok tells Hruptek - Narlock says 'indeed you are wrong already' Not 'That is one school of thought. Can you tell me of another?' or 'You take that as truth but there is another theory...' Look, I have no idea who Hruptek is, I have no stakes in this, but I see a mishandled situation. Hruptek was already a Master and no matter how disliked he might have been or how bloodthirsty he might be, I would think that unless an Immortal called him down for his actions he should not be treated as an Applicant. At least without not being told what it was he had done to deserve such treatment. All I see in the log is a sentence being passed on a subject who does not know what crime he has committed. The fact that he argued lends itself to the argument that he did not know what was happening and may have been frustrated or angry at the treatment. Imagine yourself being sent to training classes by a manager at your job who has just came on board. The classes are all things you already know, things you learned years ago. Now, you notice that some of the techniques used are different from how you learned but the information in these classes is so basic, so redundant, so similar to that which you learned to get where you are today. You don't think you just might have words with your manager? Do you think you might get a little upset at the treatment? Nobody told you they wanted you to learn a different method to apply the knowledge you already have. They just slap you in the class with no explanation. Then your boss tells you this is the way things will be done. Your way is wrong and everything you learned is wrong. You try to argue and end up fired. Huh? I don't blame anybody for anything that happened here for several reasons, the first and foremost being that it is none of my damn business. I am not commenting on anybody's rp. I am simply stating my opinion on what is in my eyes a blundered and badly handled situation. I'll stop now. I'm running out of pennies on this thing. Harlequin
