Now, I like small furry mammals and all and I would *grudgingly* (and I mean that) say that Empire can, AT TIMES, be a little over micromanaged (megamicromanaged?) since I have suffered the brunt of that over micromanagemnet (hereafter known as OMM) BUT... I interviewed a lot with Axzwerlich for Battle, particularly for Dhaevor and Minalcar, and I pissed off a lot of people with questions they had never heard before from an interviewing Rager. They were odd, admittedly, but having been around a while and dealing with more than a few moron Ragers, I think I had the right. I didn't give these people my approval. I would send notes to whoever was leader and tell them unless the person improved, I wouldn't give my approval. The thing here is, though, we had the Tablets. I knew the guidelines to follow, to look for, and most importantly, to live by. A theory is just that, a theory. I would think the people who came in line with the previous leader's theory and was inducted would be safe from a "Spanish Inquisition". Otherwise, with each new leader who had a different theory, the Tower would see a mass exodus and uninduction. That seems a bit drastic for a bunch of scholars and students to me. (Harvard just got a new dean... Oh, look, there goes old Professor Henrick flying out the window with a boot print on his ass.) I see your point of not stepping in because of the current leader's theory on magic and the way s/he inducts and I applaud this "freedom" of thought that conveys a true atmosphere of teaching and learning in the Tower but... See point at end of above paragraph. I think one of the concerns here is that once one makes it into the Tower, they have to keep a close eye on who is thinking what or risk being booted. That, to me, sounds much like mortal micromanagement... Alright, this is absolutely, positively my last post on this matter. Unless somebody else says something interesting, of course... And remember, kiddies, it's okay to love your small furry mammals, just don't engage in carnal activities with them without some kind of pre-nuptial agreement. Harlequin
