First of all, the immortals did give us a chance to get a new power and we blew it. We lost the items that were entrusted to us and nobody seemed to be willing to go out of their way to continue the quest after that. Secondly, you can have your barrier, aura, shield, stoneskin, and sa'angreal shield. I'll take transform, aura, shield, stoneskin, sa'agreal shield, and sanc. True, it means making friends with healers and paladins as a master, but if you do, you wind up better for it. Third of all, I'm like you, die hard master unless I am playing a class that isn't allowed in masters.
