After reading all of the replies, I thought about it and tried to mix them and balance. I believe that thieves can be deadly even in later ranks because from what I have observed blackjack is highly effective as is backstab and dual. Right now they have as many evasive skills. So for I can't think of anymore off the top of my head. I think that would balance them out some more. No one important
Evade (Improved Dodge). They could get this around 25.
Change Enhanced damage to around 18 or so.
Improved Hide and Sneak at about rank 30 or so. The improved hide would work like invokers improved invis. The improved sneak would allow them to lose tails...Like following mobs, Stalking assassins.
I think that bind should be tweaked. Sorry but with a simple command unbind its all gone and it seems so ineffective.
Something like pry listed above to steal equipment on the person. This is a fairly good skill so not until higher levels 35 or 40ish and it can't have that good of a chance of working.
Climb is a excellent Idea. I think some of the traps are so stupid and even air forms should be modified to be able to get out of pits. Maybe even arials...I can see why arials are useful but buffet and lightning spells are very bad if you ever face a mage type.
A thieving language. Lets say a thief is working with another thief to steal a very nice item from someone. They could have their own sign language to talk to each other, and its would be visible only to the thieves.
Hilt strike. A combat skill intended for thieves who use daggers. In mid combat, they turn their dagger around backwards and aim for the cranium to temporary disable the person they are fighting. Something a thief would know how to do if he got caught and is trying to flee without staying in combat.
