I'm barely knowledgeable enough in the game to get
the occaisional aura or shield item. Very rarely
did I run with a barrier rod. I found I was able
to do fairly well as long as I was (as much as I
could) dictating the events. In other words, I kept
tabs on enemies, their class/abilities. I tried as
much as possible to be quite calculating, and I had
a relatively easy go of it. There were the occaisional
Genofen/Master death squads that damage reduction
items really wouldn't make a difference.

Heh, I guess I'm agree with Nep. though that might
have gotten lost in my post.

Of course, I was smart enough to stay away from
berserking ragers unless I was attempting to hold
Genofen and Azjtok right in front of them. *winks*
