Well unfortunately for felars...not much.

There are a few ways that felars can LESSEN the damage taken by fire..

1) There are items that make an adventurer resist heat.

2) Be a ranger with protection heat/cold (this is minimal)

3) Be a scout in the village and dodge em, be a berserker in the village and bloodthirst while spellbane is up.

But like I said there is VERY little you can do as a felar and not be hurt by heat. It is one of the major
backlashes to being a felar, that and the low int.

But of course 23con and dex and nasty hands are a pretty good plus.
