As Ingvar, I certainly hated my auto-yelling for help. It's just not Scarabish, although Ingvar would probably yell about Maran, Imperials, and the like if there was an Arbiter around to hear. (Might as well manipulate the system to one's personal advantage, and let two Profane suffer.) But every time some goofy-ass Maran took a swing at him? Bah. ("Help! A Paladin is still trying to cast Wrath on my neutral ass!")

I can't think of any huge advantage to not yelling- it would largely be a handicap, since Arbies would find it difficult to press charges against people who attack you. I suppose it might be nice for sneaking up on someone in an area where goofy small mobs (gibberlings, small snakes, falcons, etc.) jump at you often. But most of the time, it would just confuse your groupmates during the chaos of battle.

My tweak: If it was something that you could set -once- it would be fine. Any time in your character's life, you could type "noautoyell" (the full command... no short forms to prevent accidents), and you would forever not auto-yell. This would prevent people from turning it on and off to suit the current needs of their level 26 duergar warrior.
