> My (hopefully) final point is this: the log board is not, in fact, a show-and-tell of the best players around, anymore. A few hypotheses for this:

If you, as a player, really like your roleplay/Pk-ing and feel confident in it you do not always want to post it. Several reasons other than those you mentioned springs to mind.

1) You wish to be able to stay IC.
2) You do not wish to brag about skills.
3) You do not log, simple because you do not need it.
4) You don't want some wise-ass to flame you for no reason.

Look at some of the people that have broken the no-post rules. Belaran (sp?) got totally flamed, and still does each time he posts. But, his roleplay must be good, Empowered and Maran. Just getting empowerment is more than most of the playerbase wish to deal with. Furath, another one. Killed left and right with a dead-from-the-start combo. Result, he get's flamed and so on and so on.
A case from the other day comes to mind, Belaran and a Necro chats at the Inn. Belaran, the perma-logger, posts the log. Nothing wrong with that ? The necromancer didn't wish his rp posted, not for the fear of flames but because he 'just' didn't want it. As a reply he get's a flame from Pumpkin king.
Now that dosen't really encurage elite players to post and/or read the boards.

This is starting to drift to much from the point, if there ever was one.

Anyway, a lot of people I know do not post logs since there is little or no point to it.
