For me:
bards shouldn't even be let in Battle: (Ooh that music made illusionary icicles on my nose and my clothes are subliminaly on fire!)

thieves and assassins should be scouts or defenders
My reasoning is that each of these classes have skills that would require focus and concentration.

Paladins ad A-P's I can see coming in as well if they for go sups or spells:
A-P=scout or berserk, Pal = Berserk or defender

warriors can be any of the three.

IMO I think that the village is for brutal ass kicking bad asses that give a rats ass about finness. Let the warriors live up to the image of laying down the serious hurt.
