Easy to say.. hard to do. When some people roll a character,
they have a general idea in the direction they want to go. If
it looks unattainable sometimes it's difficult to play that
character because of loss of the 'fun factor'.

Well that's a possibility with every character in any given
situation. I see getting the mark as creating opportunities
not stagnating.

*chuckles* that's a good suggestion, and an approach I tend
to use. Heh.. 'fake it until you make it' ;)
Though, I wouldn't work on the assumption he'll appear out of
nowhere and tatt my ass.

Exactly.. don't stress over it. If you are looking for instant
gratification at all.. don't attempt to go for any immortals
tatt. It just doesn't work that way.
I would suggest:
1. Act like a Maran until you are one.
2. Roleplay as if Shokai is sitting in the group with
you 24/7
3. Be patient.
