I realise this will never ever be seen on CF because it would be insanely unorigional. BUt on Pantheon there are 'stones of power' (I think thats what they were called) and if a cabal gets one and puts it in its alter it gets a power, 2 it gets 2 etc.

If a player gets one, and sacrifices it, They gain hit/dam and I think other attributes for a while. These stones are kept in a location just like a limited gear item..and the vaults are hard to get into. BUt this also supports the uncaballed char in the mix. It also makes it less..you either have the powers or you dont. You can get stronger and stronger, making the cabal harder to topple the more stones you have in the altar.

Note: its been a long time since i played Pantheon and never had a caballed char so this is all what I was told. It's an intriguing system though.
