Having had many friends Imm and knowing a few Imms ooc, I can shed a little light on this. THough I have not myself Immed. YOu need to in some way let them know you are interested in imming. Many times people are not given leadership positions, cabal wise, even though they feel they deserve them because they didnt express an interest in it. Imming is taking on a great deal more responsibility and they will not just push that on you, or assume you want to.

If you are in a religion speaking with your god about it is a good way. Sending a note to the imms is a good way. I would try to keep it in game if possible, and if you get positive responce then you can take it to an email forum if desired.
