I'd like to see this change. Especially at lower levels, when finding enough I'd like to see it be impossible to steal gold from shoppies like that regardless.
There are all kinds of wands and potions and such that you can find
around the mud that have a non-zero value. Some that aren't well
known are worth a good deal of gold. But, if you take these to many
of the potion/wand shoppies, they won't buy them. Not that they don't
have the money to do it, they just "look uninterested" in them. I've
noticed this the most in Galadon. I can sell several things in Seantryn
Modan that I can't in Galadon.
gold for potions is pretty difficult, I think it'd be a good reward for people
who explore a bit and find little-known magical things. Shops will only buy one
of any item, so it's not like a player could instantly earn a fortune selling some
easy to get potion over and over. I'd much rather see people selling things to the
apothecary in galadon then some level 30 thief stealing 200k each attempt. I don't
think people selling more things would make it too easy to find the nicer items either.
Some of the best are no_locate, and locating an item certainly doesn't make finding it
effortless.
I we can't kill it, why can we rob it?
