I'd like to take a moment to welcome everyone to what is the beginnings of the Official Carrion Fields Forum. At this point, there is no place for general questions as we're opening slightly ahead of schedule. (It's amazing people actually read privacy statements.) Currently, the main focus of this forum is to revive the graveyard that many have missed.

We have no intention to use the forum to find out who uses what IP address. Currently only I have access to that information. The forum resides on a completely separate machine at a different hosting company. You're welcome to check the IP addressing of the MUD and the Official Web Site and this site for yourself.

I am aware of some performance issues with this forum. That is because the database is not local (on the same machine) to the forum, and eventually it will be resolved as I can get things improved.

I'd like to state up front, this forum is not meant to be an attack on what Dioxide has provided the CF community for some time. The format is similar in topic, obviously, though the topics are different at this point. I will state up front that it is our intent to provide a place for newbie questions and answers as it is one of our goals to make the MUD more friendly to new players. Hopefully that has been noticed by some of the in game changes directed at new players. Along with that and the graveyard, we hope this will be a positive environment for everyone.

As part of our commitment to this forum, all of the immortals will vigilantly monitor this forum to answer questions directed at the immortals. Depending on time of day, you may get different response times to questions. Hopefully our experienced players will be able and willing to answer some general questions posted.
