They have their goals just like all the others. Destroy the profane, awaken the sleepers, darkness for eternity. Each cabal has their angle as you mentioned. Scarab's angle isn't SO FAR OUT THERE that you can say they see things much differently. They DO see them differently, but not any differently from any one cabal to another. Its pretty much Rager vs Master, Arbiter vs Entropy, Sylvan vs Empire, Scarab vs Maran. Now I relise that that isnt exactly right because cabals are always fighting other cabals, but that is the main idea behind it. Anyway...I'm starting to get off topic here..so to sum it up; Scarabs aren't any more different from the other cabals than they all are already from each other.
