Thror - I have to respond to this (Im not sure why I bother because you never seemed inclined to respond before). Ive snipped some things out below...

> There comes a point when you get tired of baby-sitting a cabal. Lately I have been baby-sitting Battle.

so why baby-sit? if theres something drastic going wrong then maybe step in. Else allow battle to change as the mortals would have it (within reason)- after all battle should (as should all cabals) change over time - it seems to me that more or less each character that gets rolled is supposed to enter into thera at a specific time where cabal ideals are all the same and havent really evolved ( I know thats a big generalisation) - but the cabals now are soooo similar to where they started yet some of these cabals have been around since the inception of the game (more or less). There have been cosmetic changes but they stay the same.

People complain and groan about how things 'used' to be and I agree that things used to be fine in some aspects. Recently Battle just isn't as self-governing as it used to be in the past. This required immortal intervention. Continual lack of roleplay,

I have to take offense a bit here, since I was at the beginning of the uninduct all spree that seemed to happen. I believe Magtograme was a well played character - I know he was not up to what Ive heard your roleplay was a mortal (not even close). His lack of role probably was a big part - he wasnt a complex character (not everyone has to be surely).
And I cant play a character that emotes and says things on the off chance an imm may be watching - my chars tend to be more silent types for a reason. But I think if you ask any mortal that I interacted with, that I did a good job.

disregarding the tablet and the prime aspects that define battle have brought the cabal to this point. You - the playerbase, has a direct hand in this. If the cabal is capable of governing itself then this issue would not be brought up.

sorry dont know what part of the tablet I broke - I know I couldnt pk worth shit at higher ranks (I got so tired of dying I began not to care - 3 weeks of dying continuously does that to you - especially when you cant even get dressed - and I was damn quick - before someone is having another go at you). I think BT stuffed up - which is why his post to the village was deleted (thats the gem quest). Tell me why I would bother to get lots of gems a long time in advance when Im (and anyone I could give them to is) dying and would lose them. I try the night before the quest is to be completed and great the machine crashes basically every 2 or 3 minutes. Great reason to uninduct everyone. Even better to read on the forum while Im at work that theres a new leader.

Wonder why so many players got pissed? There roleplay dropped (or went out the window)? These were people that put a shit load of time into their chars and were dying alot at the time - and rp'd well from what i saw.
Then because they didnt get enough gems they get shafted (hours of play out the window -if I hadnt had time to cool down I may have deleted).

> Kadsuane. I believe that playing one successful Battlerager leaves you thinking that you know what the cabal is all about. Please try to be more open-minded about issues concerning battle. Also, please try to remember that the immortals are working hard to make sure 'you' have fun.

but people can have fun without immortal interaction. The imm interaction I had with you was great - but I got much more of a kick with interacting with players I could have constant interaction with. I knew them, I didnt know you well.

If you continually think that we have some conspiracy against you or everything you try to add to the mud, your going to find yourself lacking the enjoyment this mud has to offer.

I agree - but the immortal staff does stuff up occasionally - you are human (if you arent please dont send a smite my way - and Im soooo sorry) - but it seems that you (the imm staff) cant admit it, if you do.

> On a side note. I have tried and continue to try to interact with mortals - especially Battle. Do not blame the immortals when your decisions to ignore those opportunities leave you with minimal interaction when you want it. Leap at those opportunities and rest assured that these times will be memorable.

Indeed - I think you do a great job of interacting - apart from the fact that either yourself or boltthrower seem to go unnoticed and then jump in for stuff that is of major importantance - and dont give reasons (the fun factor - im ok with being shafted - i would just like to know why).

This comes out probably as more of a whine than it should but oh well shit happens.
