I know I posted the question, but thats because I haven't played for a while. But now that I've been thinking about it, here's my answer.

> Hit points. Train them. It's a reflex answer because it's absolutely correct. Yes, a rejuvenate can get you 200 hit points.

Why get 60hp when you can get 200hp from the same amount of trains? (rejuvinate)

> Giving yourself a good solid base of hit points, however, allows you to do more than rejuvenate.

What else is there to do as a healer?

> If you're a gnome, you can get at least 100 extra hit points throughout the course of your life, and that is far more vital than extra mana.

As a gnome, you can get a train every other level, in addition to the ones every five. That comes out to around 300hp total. Now as for 'far more vital than extra mana', 300 mana can get you almost 5 rejuvinates, which is over 800hp. Thats over 500hp difference. (I know the math isn't exact, but its close enough)

> Your mana will be fine. Healers can nap, and healing sleep, which takes care of mana just fine.

Of course you can nap and healing sleep, thats when mana doesn't matter. If you have time, anyone can get mana back easy. Its the times when you're in the heat of things, when you don't have time to rest when the extra mana comes into play.

> I really can't stress enough that you should train hit points. I could go into a 10 page lecture on why 100 extra base hit points is better than the mana for a few more rejuvenates, but I'm far too lazy. Trust me on this one.

I'd like to hear your reasons why. In under 10 pages preferably.
