The imms don't have a large role in cabal politics. Immortal cabal leaders are the
accountability factor that sadly enough needs to be in place. The cabals need to stay
true to their charters, and the imms make sure of that. Believe it or not, they still
allow quite a bit of flexibility. There have been times in CFs past when there's been
"agreements" between the Master and Battle cabal. Here you have stead fast enemies constantly
at each other's throats, and the immortals allowed a treaty of sorts to be in place.

Believe it or not, immortals tend to give players quite a bit of lee way. With the
exception of Empire, immortal leaders will give players second chances do not always
throw out member of the cabal at the drop of a hat.

> They should leave everything up to the mortlas.

They should when a leadership is fully in place which I think the immortals tend to do.
With all of the leader types I've had, I can tell you the imms provide guidance more
than they dictate (unless they feel a need to). While I agree imperial immortals should
let their mortal leader govern more.. can you remember the last time there was a full
working, powerful council in place. If they don't do some sort of policing, their cabal
will have a difficult time growing.

> I guess the best example of this I can think of is the Empire. If I'm not mistaken, and I could be, immortals often are the ones doing the anethemaing.

Again, You need to take into account the specifics. Is there a council.. is there an emperor..
etc. etc. During the empire's lulls, what would you suggest the immortals do?

> As soon as they see the smallest problem, perhaps a rebellion in the works? they anethema the player instantly so their precious Empire doesn't fall apart.

Explain this further? This is very non specific.

> If the imms are seeking to make this game more lifelike, they need to let these things play out. Juilius Caesar had no idea that he was being betrayed, and all of the sudden BAM! he got backstabbed by Brutus. That kind of thing never happens, and in the time period that this game portrays, these things happened all of the time. I'm just rambling on really, but, go ahead, flame at me for a while.

I'd love to see an insurrection occur within the Empire to take power. Say the current emperor and his council are
judged weak, and some underlings put a series of events into place to take power for themselves. Hmmmm I wonder if t
that would get the chance to be played out?

> Oh yeah, I think Carrion Fields could use legions, and city politics, like in Elysium, if anyone is really interested, I will elaborate.

Ugh. no. Please don't. I've seen muds with political systems. Personally, I've never been a huge fan of them, and an
extended political system on CF seems a bit much, and hard to pull off well. That's just my opinion
