Technically, as I understand it, worldbind is not cutting a person off from his/her god, per se. It is cutting off any flow/communication/transfer/etc. between this world and any other world/plane/realm, etc, which of course would include the realm of the divine from which supplications come. It doesn't just say no communicating/drawing power from deities, it is - in theory - and indiscriminate shield/block placed between/around the world of the person it's cast upon and all other worlds/realms/planes.

Given this, it should have some affect on the extraplanar creatures on the plane of the caster. Of course the argument is that the beings are drawing power from their planes, they are fully here for the duration of their time here and don't need access to their powers via some link to their plane/world of origin. IF that's the case then the current state makes sense I suppose, but I think that some connection exists between the conjuror, the creatures and the plane they come from, even if it is only the link that keeps the beings following the caster. (YEs, I know, it's a spell on this plane that binds them. Whatever.)

Anyway, that's my understanding of worldbind.
