start using triggers. If you don't want to put in the time to finish the rest of your spells and you don't want to play a half assed invoker, than you have nothing to lose. Stationary spells are easy, buy a lot of food/drink and leave the comp for a few hours. When you come back, presto, you've mastered the spell. The damage ones are a bit more difficult, but there are ways to work those too. You're uncabal'd, so you don't have any responsibilities really, turn on quiet mode so you don't miss anything and practice away, cause there's no reason to throw away all the time you've spent on the char just to delete because you've realized the horrible reality of what it means to be a cf invoker :P

AFK scripting is against policy, and will get you in trouble. When I was practicing my invoker spells, twice in my life I had mobs come and interact with me to see if I was afk. When they saw I wasn't, they went on their way. If I hadn't responded, I'm 99.9% sure I'd have lost some con one way or another. It's not worth risking having your char raped just to save some time.

That said, *DEFINITELY* use triggers. You'd have to be a nut not to. However, do it while at the keyboard. I got lots of quality practicing done on my 'voker while studying for midterms. Glance at the screen to make sure no one comes in and kicks your ass, and if you're client-savvy, set your client to beep if it sees a tell, say, or yell (and set it to beep like a mofo if it sees a guildguard yell). As long as you can hop in and interact with someone if the need arises, you're fine.

Do *not* go out for extended periods of time while leaving practice scripts running. This is a good way to come back and find yourself down several points of con... I speak from personal experience on this one.
