Let me start off by saying hats of to Serafim for bothering to come and try to enlighten us "common ignorant masses" rather then ignore the argument. I also want to say hate's off for what sounds like(though I've not been through one) a helluva fun interview. Hopefully all cabals(save Empire, for obvious reasons) are moving toward interviews that focus a little less on giving the "right" answer and a little more on explaining why the answer is right(or wrong) for the character being interviewed. It sounds to me like Serafim is accomplishing this quite well by giving interviews that make the interviewee contemplate their character a bit more and ask themselves a few questions to show well in the interview. "Who am I?" "Why is magic so important to me that I want to dedicate my life to the mastery of it?" "How does my character feel about the five seperate branches of magic(specifically)?" The way I see it, if someone(IC, not the actual player) has spent the time to learn and master 5 spells, somewhere along the line they would say to themselves, "I wonder _why_ blindness renders the eyes worthless, but leaves the ears and nose unaffected?" or "Maybe if I slow my body down, the potions I use will run through it a little more slowly, and last a couple extra hours." Pardon the poor examples, it's early still, but I hope they at least get my point across. It seems too many people focus on what has to be done and forget to think about the trivial things that would happen/go through your mind if your character was really alive...so yeah, you may not know the answer to a question he asks, but there is a good chance a real person would have found some kinf of answer for himself, and be able to justify it, if only to himself, before being taught the _correct_ reason, as issued by those more learned in the magics than you. To end, Serafim, keep it up, it sounds like an excellent interview that the unoriginal/cookie cutter is having a few problems with, which is excellent. The entire interview sounded so fun to me, if I wasn't enjoying the hell out of my current char, I would roll a master up. And to everybody who was complaining about the interview: Stop. Think. Reason within your char's boundaries. Then go back in and keep in mind that although your char might not know the "right" answer, he's probably at least thought it about during those countless hours in the guild. And don't forget to enjoy the interview, it's a great chance to rp with somebody you know can rp back.

p.s. It's early, so please excuse any and all stupidity contained within the aforeread post..heh
