The history goes like this :
I 'killed' Altrael the assassin because he attacked Ulmo the paladin in the past when we were grouped. Don't know whether I killed Altrael (he was decomposing when I attacked him) or Zorsaul (he was standing over the corpse of Altrael later and took everything from the corpse). Whatever the case, Ioanis (on behalf of the village?) declared war on me. I challenged (knowing I would lose) to a battle as my faith in the Light was questioned. Altrael was a darkwalker in my sight but Ioanis' buddy. But I never thought I would flee with my tail behind my ass... (twice)

Remember I was sanced and look at the blows I received. I would have been chopped meat if I hadn't sanced. Hats off, you fought like a true barbarian, Ioanis!
