While Sladin did seem to be under the impression that Astein was using his god given abilities to win(duh) they had agreed to a hand to hand fight, and Astein pretty much started off using spells that he has autoperfected. I knew full well he would lose the fight, so did he. Astein and I spoke about him knowing his was going to lose his life. Once things got rolling, there wasn't much I could do except heal and defend Sladin. As for the immortal life...I'm not sure but I believe it is something along the lines of "set char astein hp ####" Not sure if he gave himself a reasonable amount of hp or not, in which case he would be granting himself immortal life to prevent any chance of losing. I don't blame him, but I think Sladin shouldn't have said anything in the first place.

Yes, Sladin knew he would lose. No, he didn't know what he was doing when he started insulting Astein. Yes, Astein technically went against his word regarding the tactics of the fight, and it is possible that Astein, as a level 54 imm, can set his hp to where he wants it(special note: were I him I would have had it set to the maximum too) thus negating much chance for the fair fight they agreed upon. Basically, Sladin talked the trash and Astein put his foot down. A lesson learned. Remember Mac...not all of us are onmiscient like yourself? No need to flame him for his ignorance.
