Do they rp with paladins to find out more about the paladin, reasons for and not for doing something.
Are you now making Role compulsary, Input of every single aspect of ones Rp ?

From what I recall the role command was brought in for extreme Rp's.
Sphere decetpions, duergars wanting to be god alin. a-ps wanting to join battle. rangers wanting to joint empire. etc etc
Im not saying that useing role is a bad thing, But Arnt you nullifying roleplaying but haveing a role ? (excluding the rare deception rps or others that might not want others to know about their intents)
Seeing strange actions equipment etc has always invoked lots of Rping and interaction, generated much talk between players. Why dont the imm abide by some of the rules they are enforceing. Roleplay.
Spend a fraction of the time the player of the character has spent to try and learn more about the paladin, See if he fits into his role, fits into his gods religion. The perhaps he could make his descision.
