That is tired of seeing "exceptions" in Sylvan?

I was sylvan when they stopped letting warriors/shamans etc in. I agreed.

Then came a slew of "exceptions"...Pikel being the most visable.

Then After Pikel imm'ed I heard from an imm source that "there will be NO more shaman sylvans"

Hell...it even sais in the SYLVAN HELP FILE basically no shamans.

So why does sylvan keep inducting shamans?

Am I saying that they are not gifted rpers....no. Am I saying that they are not gifted gamers...no.

What I am saying, is that there is only one real reason to play a sylvan shaman...and that is to pk...alot. And I had thought that this was why they were disallowed in the FIRST place.

But then you get these people who know how to rp, and they realize that with a little effort, they can get a really powerfull class/cabal combo. So they think up an rp that will fit. work it for a while, and are granted sylvanship.

It is kindof making me sick. See a druid try for arbies, and short of losing his sups, he is not going to get in.

See an a-p go for troup, and short of losing all his spells and questing to change aligns, he is not going to get in.

See a ranger go for empire, and short of losing wilderness famil, he is not going to get in.

See a lawfull go for barons/ragers, and short of questing for an align change, and losing skills/supps/spells, they wont get in.

Etc. Etc. Etc.

Why?

Game Balance. Plain and simple.

I DO beleive that rp should warrant benefits.

But when the "Exception" becomes so popular that it is COMMONPLACE...is it really the exception anymore?

Sylvan shamans have become to me as passe as flurry spamming giant ragers. It's nolonger special. It's nolonger rare. It happens all the time.

Either change the help file to say "unless you can rp to a certain standard, you can't be a sylvan shaman"
or ACTUALLY FOLLOW THE HELP FILES.

No offense to the sylvan shaman's players....but shame on you. I have no doubt you are all stellar 100% great rpers. But come on, admit it. You picked that role and rolled a shaman sylvan not for the challenge, not because it was unique, but because you wanted wall of thorns and insect swarm with summon.

If you say differently. You are a liar. Period. To yourself more than anyone else.
