As many succesfull assassins I have played I cant see how this could possibly be the case..depending on what first attack you recieved from the opponant (dual bs, ambush, hold etc). An assassin can turn a fight from heavily against him to heavily in his favor in 2 seconds. People who claim axe andmace specs are the absolute assassin killers strictly because of the weapons they wield..well I have some logs for them to see. (ya if they are smart they will have +str gear blah blah, but many many people are NOT smart, in fact many players of axe specs go for dam not str). I use the axe/mace spec example just to show you that there are many ways an assassin can turn a fight, and the first hit, means next to nothing.

Ill assume you ment strangle so Ill humor you there. You strangle your opponant, what are the odds you failed/lagged yourself/lost the kill? VERY good, its not a foolproof skill. But now we can assume you GOT the strangle, you then spam blindness a few times, poison a few times, with them yelling each time for help basicly. They stand up, and run, or stand up and quaff, or you hit them and they run/quaff. Now this is all AFTER you got lucky and landed the strangle.

Again im getting off my origional point..that being its bullshit to think an assassin needs the first hit, absolutely bullshit.
