Unless the log is edited, he wasn't in a "bloodlust trying to kill someone." He had tried to flee when you jumped in, and had already typed his insult in the middle of the combat before the other guy fled.
When you're just mindlessly PKing, you don't flee from a fight you're winning for RP reasons, which is what he did. The fact that he made the split second decision shows that he was thinking IC, which is good.
Now, you have a misconception of honor, I think, or perhaps a narrow conception. Granted, his actions would not be consistent with all roles. A peaceful even-tempered good-aligned person doing what he did would be uncalled for. However, you have to understand that to someone who is Sphere Honor, their Honor is virtually more important than their life. Dishonoring him in front of a foe is akin to, or worse than, killing him. You certainly wouldn't complain if you had killed someone and they came back and killed you in revenge. Well what you did to him was, to his character, worse than that. So he responded with anger.
If he did not loot you, as he says, that only goes to further my opinion that he was not just out to mindlessly PK whoever he could get his hands on.
It's inevitable that absolutely anyone who ever tries to play a sphere Honor character will have a million people telling him/her they're being dishonorable., "Honor is NOT about running around Killing people for a tiny reason." True, it's not. But what you think is a tiny reason, a sphere Honor character might see as a HUGE reason. When dealing with a fanatical Honor guy, replace "dishonored" with "killed multiple times while naked" and use the resulting expression to judge whether or not his response was appropriate.
