Hmm, yes but I wasn't the one asking. What if a newbie asks you, how do I wear a shield? Or how do I talk on the newbie channel? Do you just play dumb and pretend they are crazy, I think not. I'm talking about questions dealing with the syntax certain commands require and how to tell this to someone else. Try to explain "in character" how a newbie should give you 100 gold coins if they are unfamiliar with the give command syntax.

Cases like this I feel are different then asking about items, or quests and things ooc. I think that in these circumstances talking ooc to explain game syntax is totally fine.
