The positions of Emperor and council members are about showing more than one hour a week. Being strong and able to kill is ok, but it is not as important as the first. When the Emperor inducts more people than you, you are doing a crapy job as SEC leader. Look at the War Master. He plays fair amount of time. He dies alot, but he is still ten times the council member you were. Why because he shows up. He shows up when he is out numbered 10 to 1. If all the council members did that, Empire would kick ass right now.

Now being a former High Arcanus, there is also something else you need to do. Not only show up but you got to force your SEC to seek bloodoath mages. You yourself need to use your position to convert mages from the Tower. I doubt you once did that, pretty much why there are like two arcane members in Empire now. I won't even go into donations, because I doubt you even figured out how to check that. Yeah, donations do not do shit, but it is important to Empire from a roleplaying view and helps you keep your SEC focused on your SEC laws.

Finally, this is how you tell if you were a good council member or Emperor. When you die or quit, your SEC is still strong and carries on without you. Which is not the case with you or the last Emperor. When he immed, Empire went to shit because there were no strong council members to quickly replace him. It is pretty sad when Empire crowns a non-council member as Emperor. That should be the last thing to show how crapy of a job you did.

BTW, I was in Empire at the time and my character gained an avg of 15-20 levels between times you should up. That just plain sucks.
