I can remember a long while ago when the Empire
was feared...when the majority of Citizens
were actually frightening in their own right...
Sure there is always gangbanging when the Empire
is involved, but that is trivial nowadays considering
that almost every cabal exploits the tactic.
People simply scorn the Empire more because they
are better equipped at doing the job. For instance,
I, for one, believe it's much easier to outrun
a few bloodthirsty ragers than a necro, shaman, and
an anti-paladin.
It wasn't so long ago that the Immortals decided to take
the time to make the Citadel into a Palace, and yet the
population decreased instead of increased...
So I ask you, the CF'ers, what is wrong with the Empire?
Everyone loves playing the villain now and then, I know
I do. And what better way to do it than the Empire? Where
everyone can scheme and plot against their own cabal
mates (The Sect system rocks). Citizens can wrest power
for themselves in a constant political battle between
themselves. I for one, think that the whole idea enhances
the game. I think the Empire should be more involved
in the Law of the Land, For instance, perhaps the Emperor
should be able to Annex any land he feels like, and in
doing so, have an army of Imperial Soldiers (MOBS) march in
and take control. I think it would be fun. The Empire, if
anything, should be growing stronger, not weaker.
anyhow, I was just reminiscing.
Any ideas or comments are welcome, just keep it tasteful.
