It seems to be everything you're looking for in a cabal, and it already exists. The one reservation is: if you're a newbie, how good are you at PKing? Because the Maran (and the cabal you're describing) are pretty PK-intensive. Also, it's also a small group (or was, when I was playing) so you'll be solo for most of your career - how self sufficient/experienced is your character? Anyway, do the research and see if it is for you.
