I tried that with an assassin char with lots of aggro mobs around (won't say where) and after my dodge went from around 77% to 85%, I had gained almost 10% in hand to hand.

It was really annoying as I ended up hitting harder and going through the mobs quicker - ahh the perils of spamlearning.
