Agreed. The funny thing is, I had a conversation exactly like this, including wearing the Viper amulet, with a Maran (who's a very good roleplayer) wearing one. He and I disagreed, and I let it go, but, given my experience with this game, I don't think it's worth the risk (wtf? The Viper Amulet sucks, anyway - that's like getting denied for multicharring a jewelled broadsword).
