> Probably not. The classes available to each race (in IC terms) reflect the nature of the race as well as their culture. For example, the religious practices of Felars are such that they have never dedicated themselves to studying to become shamans or healers or paladins. The culture doesn't value it nor does their history support it. You could argue that perhaps a single Felar somewhere could manage to learn these things if they really really really wanted to, despite their "dull wits", etc. Though I'm no expert on Felar culture, I'd expect the answer you'd get in return would be something like, "No Felar truly RPing their race authentically would even be interested in doing so." that seems a little sad. practically (I cant think of any at the moment actualy) every race, in any sci-fi/fantasy book Ive every read has had some sort of religion. Im not aware of any culture on earth that dosent have religion.. every religion has people who preach the faith. I dont see how it would overpower anything, IMHO its getting to be very much cookie cutter type char/classes (yes there are a few exceptions but people know its difficult to try a class change etc so dont bother). In summary: Any race should be able to have healers/shaman (elves have gone to war before, they have warriors, why not shaman?) also storm giant rangers... why not (they are roughly the same size and clouds so should be able to hide as well - or allow them to camo in water only)? Im sure theres other non overpowered combos that people could think of too. > I don't know if that's the kind of answer you wanted, but there's an immortal opinion. definetly not what I wanted to hear even I wasnt the original poster- now go rewrite the entire cf code to satisfy me :P down with cookie cutters!!!!
Blackclaw has a temple in the middle of it (yes its probably a human healer - he will be influencing the felar there, hes a likeable fellow, some felar/fela are maybe want to be like him). I could give other reasons from playing a felar whos hometown was blackclaw why he would want to be a healer (or shaman)
some race/classes are just going to suck more than others..
