I never said that a Felar couldn't be religious, I'm saying that it's unimportant enough to them that they would not establish any sort of priesthood. There are plenty of religious people in the world that aren't priests/priestesses and who have had no formal training in ritualistic religious practices.

How about earth cats? Perhaps they pray and we're unaware of it (or, more likely, perhaps THEY are gods).
