I won't disagree there. Let us look at a hypothetical situation based around the Hruptek saga. Let's say Hruptek isn't stubborn and closed-minded. Let's say he simply disagrees with Narlock's take on the situation. He believes, as would I, that the lesser spells like detect invis are transmutation spells(it can be argued that it's their spell since they alone can cast it on others, showing some form of mastery of it). Now then, is it kosher for Narlock to dismiss or even induct Hruptek based on the acceptance of a view that is not etched in some stone? Is Narlock willing to accept that his view need not necessarily be right? Hruptek deserved dismissal, I don't deny that, but, should Narlock have told him that his ideas(those accepted by many Lord Adepts and Leaders of the past) are wrong? I'm not flaming Narlock. I've never talked to Narlock. I just think that if I apply to the Tower and my ideas and his ideas differ(especially on something as petty as detect invis OR on something as integral as the nature/magic war) that I should still be given the same treatment.
